Why We Exist
Skincare has evolved into a cultural, economic and psychological conversation — but social media and influencer culture have amplified widespread misinformation, unsafe practices and unrealistic beauty standards.
In many communities, especially among people of colour, skincare challenges are further complicated by colourism, the misuse of unregulated products and the normalisation of harmful practices in the pursuit of societal acceptance.
These issues do not only affect physical skin health but also impact mental well-being, confidence and identity. Elite Glow Society recognizes skincare as both a health issue and a gateway to broader conversations about literacy and economic empowerment.
